Seeking Senior Scientific Manager (Research Resource Strategy)

The Mechanobiology Institute, National University of Singapore is seeking to recruit a Senior Scientific Manager who would serve as the specialist in scouting research grant funding sources both within and out Singapore, and to engage the Institute’s Principal Investigators in concerted efforts in fund-raising through answering grant calls.

The Senior Scientific manager should possess a scientific background to understand the funding priorities of funding agencies or industry and provide support in team building, and proposal preparation and submission.

Research Resource could also be raised through industry partnerships, which the senior scientific manager is expected to broker between industry and the institute’s scientific community. Downstream management of IP, patents, start-ups and spin-offs are also expected.

We seek an individual with Ph.D Degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences or related scientific areas, with at least 4 years of working experience in research management, industry liaison and business development.

Candidates should have high-level organizational, inter-personal and communication skills.
